July 19, 2016

TUESDAY 19th JULY, 2016

South Australia’s hospitality best and brightest gathered at the Adelaide Convention Centre last night to celebrate industry excellence at the 2016 Savour Australia Restaurant & Catering HOSTPLUS Awards.

Receiving the coveted Maitre d’ Manager award for the second time in 3 years, Sharon Romeo accepted in the proud presence of FINO Executive Chef and business partner David Swain, Head Chef Sam Smith and key FINO Seppeltsfield team members.

As defined by the core criteria, Romeo is indeed a worthy recipient; ‘Awarded to a Maitre d’ Manager whose attitude to his/her job has been outstanding and whose contribution to the hospitality industry has been an inspiration to other members of the staff.’

Believing passionately that Front of House service is just as important as a restaurant’s Back of House or Kitchen counterpart, Sharon’s commitment to training underpins her belief that hospitality service skill development is a crucial element of growth for the wider South Australian economy… An observation echoed by Restaurant &Catering Industry Association Deputy CEO Sally Neville “Congratulations on your win last night [Sharon] – You should be proud of the work that you and your team do to bring great food, beverages and service to the South Australian community.”

Sharon’s dedication to meticulous and intuitive customer service is the stuff of Hospitality legend. While she is the first to insist that FINO’s accolades [ http://fino.net.au/about/awards/ ] are courtesy of an outstanding team effort, there’s little doubt that a team is only as effective as their leader.
